Cafayate, Argentina

We decided to go back to Argentina to get closer to Bolivia (our next destination). Sorry to say that, but they are not the nicest people and we paid bribe money for the first time to get the two last tickets for the bus to San Pedro de Atacama on Sunday...

On Tuesday we went to the ancient ruins of Quilmes

The next day we hired two bikes and took the bus 50 km into the Quebrada de las Conchas, a valley with an unbelievible landscape. From there we biked back to Cafayate.

Along the valley there were a lot of rock formations with different names like the castle, window, amphitheatre, etc. but weren`t really this bombastic. 

But then we discovered our own formation ... The mud monster

Around midday it got hotter and hotter and we were happy when we were back in Cafayate after 5 hours in the Quebrada

On Thursday the 28th of January we took the bus to Salta.
